Privacy Policy
This policy covers the TUdo waitlist website only. It does not cover the TUdo app, which will have its own privacy policy at launch.
What we collect
Only what you give us in the waitlist form:
- Your full name
- Your Tulane email address
- Your year and how you'd use TUdo (post tasks, earn, or both)
- Task categories you'd offer, if you share them
- How you heard about TUdo
- Your club / team / chapter name, if you tell us you help run one
If you use the "Bring TUdo to your school" form (for students who aren't at Tulane), we collect your full name, email, and the university you named.
If you create a free TUdo account, we also keep your name, Tulane email, your year and whether you want to post tasks or earn, plus your password in scrambled (hashed) form that no one on our team can read. To keep you signed in, your browser stores a login token for TUdo; it isn't used for tracking or ads.
When you post a task, its title, category, price and timing are visible to anyone on the site; signed-in students also see the details, the general area and your first name. When a student picks up your task (or you pick up theirs), the two of you see each other's name and Tulane email so you can coordinate. We never show your email on the public task list.
Messages you send on a task are seen by the other student on that task. The TUdo team reads them only when looking into a problem someone reported. When a task is done, each of you can leave a 1–5 star rating; your average rating and number of ratings are shown to signed-in students. If you add a Venmo username, we show it only to the poster of a task you picked up, so they can pay you. Payments happen in Venmo, not on TUdo. If you report a problem, we keep the report and our notes on it so we can follow up.
We do not collect student ID numbers or photos on this website. ID verification is an app feature and will be handled separately, with its own data review.
We record how visitors use the site and app, to improve it. In our own database we record actions such as pages visited, sign-ups and tasks posted, together with a random ID saved in your browser, the website or tagged link that brought you here, and whether you're on a phone or a computer. Once you sign in, these records are linked to your account. We never record what you type, your password, payment details or the contents of your messages. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits, pages and the sites that send visitors without cookies and without identifying you.

- To email you before launch and let you in early
- To line up both sides of the marketplace (posters and taskers) for launch
- To follow up with clubs and orgs that want TUdo
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information.
- We don't share it with advertisers.
- We don't use it for anything except getting TUdo launched.
Where it's stored
Your account and everything you submit (waitlist forms, tasks, messages, ratings and reports) are stored with Supabase, our database and login provider, on servers in the United States. Your password is handled by Supabase's login system and stored scrambled (hashed); no one on our team can see it. Our website itself is hosted by Cloudflare. Each student can only see their own account and the tasks they're part of; the TUdo founding team can see everything submitted so we can run the service and help when something goes wrong. Emails from TUdo (confirming your account, password resets) are sent by Supabase on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist information until TUdo launches and for up to 12 months after, so we can bring you in and follow up. After that we delete it, unless you've created a TUdo account (which will have its own terms). You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time (see below).
How to see or delete your information
Email us at jemfema7@gmail.com and we'll remove you from the waitlist and delete what you gave us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as TUdo develops. Any material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
